If there is a problem with the oil-water separator, water and impurities in the diesel oil will The plunger assembly inside the injector will wear and cause strain until the injector becomes stuck. Damage to the injector will cause the engine to accelerate instably or weakly, or to emit black smoke. In severe cases, the engine will be directly damaged. Due to the fine workmanship of the injector, its price is also relatively high. Based on the above reasons, when there is a problem with the oil-water separator, it must be replaced in time.
Second, carbon deposits
If the oil-water separator is damaged, water and impurities in the diesel will pass through the filter device, and then accumulate in the intake valve, intake duct, and cylinder, forming hard carbon deposits over time, which will affect the engine's work, and in serious cases will cause the engine destruction. Damage to the oil-water separator will cause valve deposits, and valve deposits will cause engine startup difficulties, idling instability, poor acceleration, sudden refueling and tempering, excessive exhaust gas standards, and increased fuel consumption, which will lead to engine damage.
Third, the engine emits white smoke
Damage to the oil-water separator will cause the engine to emit white smoke, because the moisture in the fuel will turn into water vapor when burning, which will cause white smoke. The water vapor in the white smoke will damage the high-pressure fuel injection nozzle, cause insufficient engine power, and cause a sudden stop. In severe cases, the engine will be directly damaged.
